The theme of this fourth year of the Prize is: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGES THROUGH THE VISUAL ARTS.
Possible communication barriers, especially with disabled people, can also be overcome through the languages of visual communication, which allow for effective interaction other than written and verbal.
The following institutions participated. Academy of Fine Arts of Bari, Bologna, Frosinone, Milan, Naples, Rome and Urbino. IUAV Venice. Specialization course Scuola del Libro, Urbino. La Sapienza University Rome. Liverpool John Moores University. Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, York College. York St John University, University of Edinburgh.
Two first prizes were awarded, two second prizes of 300 euros each, two third prizes consisting of art books. One set of prizes for students from Italian institutions, one for students from British institutions. The first prize for English participants consists of a week of hospitality with board and lodging at the halls of residence of the University of Urbino. For Italian participants a week of hospitality is planned in York. The winners of the first prize received a contribution towards the trip. A Special Prize from ATSIV was awarded to a student enrolled in Institutions of Urbino and a Special Prize donated by the Association to a student enrolled in British Institutions.

The prize giving ceremony took place on 02 December 2017 at the ISIA in Urbino, and was preceded in the Town Hall of Urbino by the opening of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
During the prize giving ceremony there was a Skype connection with York Human Rights City, where the International Day is similarly celebrated; on the occasion of this connection, both in Urbino and in York the film jointly produced on the theme of 3 December by the Eleanor Worthington Prize Association and York Human Rights City was shown.

In the SCRIPTORIUM Hall of the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino from 02 December 2017 to 06 January 2018 a video of all the participating works was visible.
The exhibition of all the works, curated by Nunzia Invernizzi, Artistic Director of the Eleanor Worthington Prize Association, was set up from 16 to 19 May 2018 at York St John University, Lord Mayor's Walk, in the Quad South Arts foyer. On the occasion of the exhibition, the artists Pier Paolo Ceccarini and Franco Cesare Zanetti presented the video projection "Dialoghi di fumo (Dialogues of smoke)" created by them together with Giulio Calegari.
Some works participating in the Prize were exhibited at York Hospital.
