The theme of the tenth year of the Prize is: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. DISABILITY AND AUTONOMY.
The awareness of one's inalienable rights, whatever one's personal characteristics, implies the search for a fulfilled life.
Making independent choices about one's own paths is the basis of the freedom to fulfill oneself in all fields: for example in interpersonal relationships, in access to education, places and civil life, in the right to work, to sport, to entertainment.
This is only possible if society provides adequate tools so that these inalienable objectives can be achieved.
Disabled people, with their courage to face difficult everyday life, point the way towards a path of resilience, whereby everything becomes possible and barriers can fall, as long as the process is supported by trust in the community and adequate resources.
The requirement for an audio description of the work not exceeding two minutes, both in Italian and English, remains this year.
