The theme for the fifth year of the Award is THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THE PRIDE OF DISABILITY.
The awareness of one's inalienable rights, whatever one's personal characteristics, encourages one to seek a full life, such as the ability to be in control of one's own paths and choices. A full and independent life can be given specific contents, of family life, of mobility, of work, of participation in civil life, in recreational and sporting activities.
The common basis is the search for the freedom to self fulfilment.
The requirement for an audio description of the work not exceeding one minute, in Italian or English, is added to the rules of the competition.
The following institutions participated. Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, Frosinone, Macerata, Milan, Naples, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Turin, Urbino and Venice., Specialization course Scuola del Libro, Urbino. York College, York St John University.
Two first prizes, two second prizes of 300 euros each, two third prizes consisting of art books were awarded. One set of prizes for students from Italian institutions, one for students from British institutions. The first prize for English participants consists of a week of hospitality with board and lodging at the halls of residence of the University of Urbino. For Italian participants a week of hospitality is planned in York. The winners of the first prize received a contribution towards the trip. Two first prizes were awarded with equal merit and a prize offered by ATSIV of the Marche Region to students enrolled in Italian institutions and a Special prize offered by the companies Amicucci and Maimeri to a student from British institutions.

The prize giving ceremony took place in the Conference Room of the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino on 3 December 2018. During the prize giving ceremony, there was a zoom connection with York St John University, presented by Helen Turner, Codirector of Fine Art at York St John University.
Some works participating in the Prize were exhibited at York Hospital and Scarborough Hospital.
The exhibition of all the competing works curated by Nunzia Invernizzi, Artistic Director of the Eleanor Worthington Prize Association, was set up from 27 February to 02 March 2019 at York St John University, Lord Mayor's Walk, in the Quad South Arts foyer.
