2020 DISABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
The environment can be understood both as a set of natural elements such as climate, resources, the landscape in which one is immersed, and also as a set of the social, urban and residential context in which one moves.
Both aspects are particularly relevant for people with disabilities.
For example, climate pollution causes and exacerbates diseases, environmental disasters create particular discomfort in evacuation and re-establishment; the choice of resources determines the environmental sustainability of the future.
An open social context attentive to the specific needs (audio-visual-sensorial) of people with disabilities; accessible urban structures; equipped and welcoming living areas, all favor an independent and fulfilled life for people with disabilities.
Despite the exceptional situation of Covid 19, the response of schools and students was enthusiastic, and the following Secondary Upper Art Schools participated in this twelfth year of the Prize:
Giovagnoli, Sansepolcro; Mannucci, Ancona; Mengaroni, Pesaro; Metelli, Terni; Misticoni-Bellisario, Pescara; Nolfi-Apolloni, Fano; Lanza Perugini, Foggia; Scuola del Libro Urbino; Volta Fellini, Riccione.
