2012 / 13 DISABILITY AND INTERACTION. THE BODY AS A MEANS OF EXPRESSION
Disabilities in their various forms restrict the possibilities of interaction of the individual, both with other individuals and, in a broader sense, with society and with many elements of the world and life. Within this theme, this year the Prize wants to highlight in particular the the bodily expression of interaction.
Different types of entries are expected, which are connected to all the disciplines of the participating schools. For example, projects in the field of visual communication, such as posters, story boards, book covers, animations, films, website design, signage, commercials; projects or prototypes for new tools that can concretely facilitate interaction with the outside world of people with any disability; and artifacts for example in paper engineering, fashion, goldsmithing, ceramics.
The following Upper Secondary Art Schools participated:
Apolloni, Fano; Licini, Porto San Giorgio; Preziotti, Fermo; Mannucci, Fabriano; Cantalamessa, Macerata; Scuola del Libro, Urbino.
54 entries were presented, as individual, group and class entries. The entries show a great variety of expressive techniques, from sound films, to paper engineering, to sculptures in various materials, to graphic entries made with various techniques, watercolor, oil, acrylic, engraving, photography, fabric printing.
Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors, it was possible to give 11 prizes.
The Exhibition of all the entries in the rooms of the Collegio Raffaello in Urbino, was open for about a week, and visited by school groups of various types.
The Exhibition was set up by Nunzia Invernizzi, Artistic Director of the Eleanor Worthington Prize Association.
