This year's theme was: Disability and Coronavirus.
We sincerely thank the participating schools, teachers, and students who, despite the challenging times we are experiencing, felt it was essential to contribute to the project.
The theme was developed with images: photographs, drawings, illustrations, and posters. A number of videos and animations were also submitted.
They were exposed 39 works from eight art high schools in the cities of Fabriano, Fano, Foggia, Pesaro, Pescara, San Sepolcro, Teramo, and Urbino.
For several years, the association has been pursuing the project of moving toward a Universal Language, through the constant presence of an Italian Sign Language interpreter.
For exhibitions, it prepares a video in which texts are written and read to facilitate the experience for the blind and deaf.
It seeks to broaden participation in the Award to as many people as possible who are interested in art but have disabilities that prevent them from sharing.
This year, for the first time, an audio description of the submitted work was requested, to allow visually impaired participants to participate.
Students were provided with information on the requirements for good audio description, and a special prize was awarded for those who attempted it.
