Autoritratto come cavallerizza

Ho studiato a fondo la figura mentre lavoravo a quest'opera, giocando con le proporzioni del corpo e con ciò che è in grado di diventare. Un cavallo, per esempio. Spesso mi sento separata dal mio corpo o che non mi appartenga, quindi ho voluto rappresentare questo aspetto rendendolo non più una figura femminile. Tutta la teatralità che deriva dall'esibirsi quotidianamente nel nostro corpo, viene mostrata attraverso le figure danzanti.

Self portrait as a horsegirl

I was studying the figure a lot when working on this piece, playing with the proportions of the body and what it’s capable of becoming. A horse for example. I often feel removed from my body or that it does not belong to me so I wanted to represent this by making it no longer a women’s figure. All the theatrics that comes with performing in our body’s daily, are shown with the dancing figures.
