Questa è una scultura figurativa realizzata in risposta ai modi in cui viene soffocata l’autonomia generale quotidiana delle persone neurodivergenti. Come donna autistica che è meno percettibilmente disabile, ho sentito lo stigma associato all'autismo. Per questo motivo mi hanno fatto sentire un estraneo. L’autismo per me fa la differenza. Non una carenza.
GENERATING IMAGINATIVE IDEAS CAN BE DIFFICULT
This is a figurative sculpture made in response to the ways the general day to day autonomy of neurodivergent people is stifled. As an autistic woman who is less perceivably disabled I have felt the stigma attached to autism. I have been made to feel like an outsider because of this. Autism to me, is a difference. Not a deficiency.
