PICCOLO MALE

L’opera intitolata “Il Piccolo Male” è un disegno a matita e collage, di 33x48 cm. L’opera nasce dall’idea di unire il tema del Premio Eleanor Worthington a un momento personale in cui l’artista ha sofferto, in tenera età, di un’epilessia lieve chiamata, appunto, piccolo male. L’opera ritrae un volto infantile e l’istologia delle cellule neuronali con sovrapposte delle linee orizzontali rosse atte a rappresentare, in una visione personale, la tipica assenza dell’attività epilettica nella sua forma più lieve, per condividere con il fruitore un passaggio particolare della vita dell’artista.

LE PETIT MAL

The work entitled Petit mal was created in 2020; it is a pencil and collage drawing, 33x48 cm. The work was born from the idea of ​​combining the theme of the Eleanor Worthington Prize with a personal moment in which the artist suffered, at an early age, from a mild epilepsy called, precisely, “petit mal” (absence seizures). The work portrays a child's face and the histology of neuronal cells with overlapping red horizontal lines to represent, in a personal vision, the typical absence of epileptic activity in its mildest form, to share with the viewer a particular passage of the life of the artist.
