BODY EXTENSIONS di MEDUSA,

Questa Body Extension è ispirata alle body extension di Rebecca Horn e alle sculture di Louise Bourgeois. Si rifa al mito greco di Medusa, un personaggio altamente frainteso. L’opera intende aprire un dialogo sull’autismo nelle donne e nelle ragazze, e sul fatto che donne in questo gruppo siano ad alto rischio di essere vittime di assalti di tipo sessuale.

MEDUSA's BODY EXTENSIONS

This body extension has been created inspired by the body extensions of Rebecca Horn and the sculptures of Louise Bourgeois. It echoes the Greek Myth of Medusa, a highly misunderstood character. This piece has been created in order to start a dialogue about autism in women and girls and the fact that women in this group are at high risk of being a victim of sexual assault.
