Il cammino
Il disegno mostra diverse fasi della vita di una ragazza amputata ad una gamba sin dall’infanzia, la protesi non sembra un problema. Nell’adolescenza la ragazza cerca di nascondersi e scende di un gradino nella scala dell’autostima. Sotto uno stormo di uccelli la donna siede fiduciosa su una panchina di forma contraria rispetto alla discesa di questa scala, dimostrando la sua crescita sia fisica che umana.
The journey
The work depicts the life of a girl growing up without a leg. During childhood the missing leg doesn’t really affect the mind of the child. Going to the teenage life the girl tries to hide and takes a step down on the stair of confidence. During adult life, the woman sits proud on a bench that flips, through its shape, the point of the stair symbolizing growth both in the physical and mental way.
