The exhibition "Art and Disability," curated by Nunzia Invernizzi, artistic director of the Association, at the Albani Gallery in Urbino, features all the works submitted to the twelfth edition of the Award. It was inaugurated by representatives of the Urbino City Council.
Among the requirements for participating in the Award, university students have been required for several years to provide an audio description of their works. The judge who assigns a score to the audio description is an expert in the field, and his or her score, along with those of the other judges, is used to determine the winners.
The Eleanor Worthington Prize Association, a volunteer organization, has been pursuing the project of universal accessibility to works of art for many years, with a particular focus on the blind. Each work on display has a QR code accessible from smartphones.
The exhibition was open until December 8th.
