L'installazione prende spunto dall'ex Manicomio di Pesaro, Il San Benedetto, per trattare il tema della disabilità mentale e della comunicazione oltre le barriere, le epoche e le sue forme, da quella cartacea a quella telematica. L'istituto, negli ultimi anni del '800 pubblicò un periodico , il Diario del San Benedetto, prodotto dagli stessi internati i quali vi pubblicavano dei messaggi per i parenti o altro come poesie, disegni, ecc. Le tre gabbiette sono realizzate per rappresentare il manicomio e in particolare le celle dei tre internati più prolifici che si firmavano A.B., B.G., X. Gli aeroplanini di carta, riportano alcuni messaggi pubblicati ma riformulati in modo da rappresentare la grafica della comunicazione secondo i canali più attuali, i social network Aeroplanini come icona dell'invio del messaggio sui nostri computer e smartphone e di una ideale libertà di evasione e metafora delle possibilità e dei limiti della comunicazione per chi è rinchiuso. Dimensioni complessive: 60 x 30 cmMateriali: legno dipinto, carta

The installation takes its cue from the former San Benedetto asylum in Pesaro, to deal with the theme of mental disability and communication across barriers, ages and forms, from paper to telematics. In the last years of the 19th century, the institute published a periodical, the Diario del San Benedetto, produced by the inmates themselves, who published messages for their relatives or other things such as poems, drawings, etc. The three little cages are made from a variety of materials. The three little cages are designed to represent the asylum and in particular the cells of the three most prolific inmates who signed themselves A.B., B.G. and X. The paper aeroplanes show some of the messages published but reformulated in such a way as to represent the graphics of communication according to the most up-to-date channels, social networks. Paper aeroplanes as an icon of sending messages on our computers and smartphones and of an ideal freedom of escape and a metaphor of the possibilities and limits of communication for those who are locked up.
