Titolo e concept del progetto/opera:     

Il gomitolo rosso

Il mini book silent racconta la forza delle persone con disabilità rappresentate dal lecca-lecca nella pagina iniziale. Una signora anziana lavora all’uncinetto con un gomitolo rosso. Questo è intrecciato al braccio robotico di suo nipote e lei cucendo e scucendo lo libera dalle paure, dai pregiudizi e gli dona la libertà di essere. Il filo infatti forma la parola “Libero” di essere se stessi.

The red ball of yarn

The mini book silent tells the story of the strength of people with disabilities, represented by the lollipop in the opening page. An elderly woman works on crochet with a red ball of yarn. This is intertwined with her grandson’s robotic arm, and as she crochets and unravels, she frees him from fears, prejudices, and grants him the freedom to be himself. The thread even forms the word “Libero” (free), symbolizing the freedom to oneself.
