Vedere o percepire

La volontà è quella di rappresentare la cecità da un punto di vista differente dal comune. Le persone cieche hanno spesso gli altri sensi molto più sviluppati del normale, poiché utilizzano memoria, udito e tatto come estensione sensoriale, quindi come “altri occhi”. Abbiamo quindi rappresentato il cieco con una potente luce che fuoriesce dalle orbite, simbolo della propria autonomia. Inoltre sul suo corpo sono posizionati molti altri occhi, che simboleggiano tutti gli altri sensi.

Seeing or sensing

The will is to represent blindness from a different point of view from the common. Blind people often have other senses much more developed than normal, since they see using memory, noises and touch as a sensory extension, then as "other eyes". So we represented the blind man with a powerful light coming out of his eyes, symbol of its autonomy. On his body are placed many other eyes, which suggest that all other senses work together as 'other eyes'.
